The Estate’s woodlands and farm margins are superb breeding and feeding grounds for wild birds of all varieties. There is a predominance of pheasant and partridge, and these are supplied to the butcher by our shoot tenant during the season between September and January. Our butchery team prepare whole birds ready for the oven, plus a range of fillets and other easy-to-use and full-of-flavour cuts.
Each year, we support Great British Game Week, helping to promote the health and taste benefits of eating game. In store, we have offers on selected game along with recipes and ideas for how these wonderful products can be enjoyed.
