Perfectly poised
Ragley seems to have a picturesque view at every turn. The approach to the hall is nothing short of breathtaking, and the Palladian columns and steps are one of the most iconic views of Ragley Hall. Step inside and the wow factor continues – the State Rooms each make their own individual statement, and never fail to get creative ideas flowing. One of the most notable spaces is the Great Hall with its 40ft floor to ceiling windows looking over Polo Field opposite the Hall. With its pale pink decorative walls and period features, it’s a stunning backdrop. By contrast is the Red Saloon, bold and bright with its luxurious red fabric wallpaper and gold detailing, chandelier and views over the rose gardens.
The most startling backdrop is the decor of the South Staircase. Hand painted over 14 years, it depicts the story of The Temptation, complete with squirrels, exotic birds, family portraits and much-loved pets. Light and bright, this is a stunning place for a photo shoot. Any of these spaces, and many more, can be styled with furniture or left as a blank canvas to be brought to life with props, flowers, models and lighting.
Views from Ragley Hall are far-reaching, across acres of landscaped parkland. Outside, immediately beyond the Palladian stone pillars, are terraces and gardens featuring topiary and woodland.
Photographers and creatives in the past have chosen to take their project away from the more obvious splendour of The Hall, and into one of our period holiday cottages, ancient woodland, working farmland and heritage stables with its antique carriage collection. In summary, there is a large portfolio of locations, all available for a range of creative styles.
Ragley has been the choice for photoshoots – from private engagement or styled shoots, to commercial product photography in fashion, food and automotive. We also work closely with colleagues and suppliers in the wedding sector, offering facilities for styled shoots, bringing in models, stylists, props and photographers keen to build up their portfolio and learn new skills. It’s important that any shoot runs smoothly, so we also understand the need for there to be a range of facilities to hand. There is plenty of parking immediately in front of The Hall, a dedicated hair, make-up and dressing room space and toilets. A member of our experienced event team will always be on hand – from first enquiry through to set-up, and then during your shoot to help with any issues or last minute requests.
