Ragley Butchers Shortlisted for Eat Game Awards 2025
Ragley Estate Butchers have been shortlisted for the 2025 Eat Game Awards in the category of Best Butcher.
This award recognises the expertise of local butchers serving a range of game meats. Our butchers have been serving up a range of venison and game birds from the estate since 2006. A desire to produce sustainable game meat for locals has led to an ‘estate-to-plate’ approach – producing venison, partridge and pheasant straight from the land surrounding Ragley Hall. Venison is carefully managed, ensuring the fittest of the species survive, whilst protecting crops and ancient woodland. Processing is done in our own deer larder, before the short journey to the butcher at Hillers Farm Shop. At each stage, the venison is logged and documented, so everything has full traceability.
Our butchers produce a range of prime cuts, joints and dressed birds – along with plenty of advice and ideas to help customers enjoy these delicious meats.
